How do I place an order with you?

At this point in time, the best way to save a date or place an order is by reaching out through our website contact form. Send us a message with some more information about what you’re looking for and we’ll respond as soon as possible with potential next steps!

Do you accept custom order requests?

Due to the nature of cake creation, we consider every order we receive a custom order and are willing to work with you as much as possible to create the cake(s) of your dreams. Please review our menu for updated flavor offerings to get a sense of what’s possible prior to reaching out. Special design or flavor requests can be considered and may be subject to additional fees.

Do you have offerings for dietary restrictions?

We’re happy to offer a couple different gluten-friendly (wheat-free) cake options along with a vegan chocolate cake and vegan buttercream to make tasty cake more available for more people. Please note: our cakes are NOT produced in a certified gluten-free kitchen so none of our products can be guaranteed gluten-free.

 

What if I have food allergies?

When making gluten-friendly cakes and cupcakes all ingredients are separate and the equipment is well-cleaned but we are not a certified gluten-free or peanut-free establishment. We are licensed to make gluten-friendly cakes and cupcakes. PLEASE keep in mind that artcakeMT is NOT a nut-free, wheat- free, or allergen-free environment. Our cakes and cupcakes are made using the same equipment that regularly comes into contact with wheat, dairy, eggs, peanuts, and other possible allergens.

 
How/when do I pay you? Do you accept cash?

As of July 2024, we’re happy to accept cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal payments for orders. Payment is due in full 6 weeks prior to an agreed upon delivery date, with a 20% save-the-date deposit due at the time of order placement. For deliveries that have less than 6 weeks of lead time, payment is due in full at the time of order placement. For orders placed less than two weeks in advance a potential surcharge for expedited service can be applied. 

Plans changed...Do you offer refunds?
Generally, artcakeMT does not accept returns or process refunds for products produced and delivered as agreed upon as a result of changing circumstances. You can review our full refund policy in our Terms & Conditions.
 
Can I send you a picture of a cake I have seen elsewhere?

Absolutely. We cannot duplicate an exact copy of another cake artist’s work but will do our best to incorporate elements from any digital or physical picture that you bring to us to use as inspiration for your custom cake design. Please note: We do not do any design that involves copyrighted material or special licensing.

 

I want flowers on my cake! Do you provide fresh flowers? Who puts the flowers on my cake?

We love working with flowers! (Either fresh or silk.) That said, if you have already ordered florals for your event, we recommend that you order extra from your florist to help the flowers on your cake match the rest. Alternatively, we can, based off your instruction, purchase florals to use for an additional fee but cannot guarantee a perfect match to what you might have in mind. As for the arranging...If you are using a florist for the flowers on your cake, you may ask them if their schedule will allow them to arrange the flowers on the cake. We will happily put a florist’s pre-arranged flowers on your cake at no charge. However, if loose flowers are ordered through your florist, you need to communicate very clearly to the florist and to artcakeMT which party is responsible for arranging your loose flowers on the cake. If you’d like us to handle the placement of your flowers, you will need to bring them to us the day before your event date or arrange for us to pick up the flowers. Arranging (and any additional) fees must be discussed and paid for prior to floral delivery.

Do you deliver?

Short answer: Yes, we’re happy to remove the stress of transporting your finished cake and deliver it directly to you for an additional charge. Longer answer: We’re not responsible for your cake once it’s in your hands, but we do want to do everything we can to help you avoid any transportation mishaps that could damage the cake we worked so hard to make just for you! Our delivery fees cover our time, fuel costs, and set-up. Some cakes requiring elaborate set- ups may be subject to an increased set-up and delivery charge. Get in touch with your event/order details for information on your individual order and delivery options!

Do you make anything other than cakes? Can I order cookies from you?

Though we thoroughly enjoy trying new things and bake all kinds of things in our personal lives...We’re sticking to what we know and love professionally. (We’re artCAKE for a reason...) Cakes and cupcakes are the backbone of artcakeMT. That said, we’re always happy to recommend other local businesses who might be able to help you out if we don’t have the capacity. Hi, I’m Tami. In simplest terms, artcakeMT is my dream job. It’s a business I created both accidentally and on purpose back in 2018. At the start of this journey I just wanted to create more space for play in my day-to-day, and hopefully also pay my bills...But there’s a lot I didn’t expect about the ways my life has transformed in the past four years. At this point, I’m blessed to be supported by the efforts of a small but mighty, dynamic team of creatives and look forward to all the ways we will continue to grow and create meaningful confections in Missoula, MT (and beyond?).
